Our New Shed

Jamie and I decided that we needed some additonal outside storage. So while I was away with some girlfriends he decided that he would start building a shed. He was able to construct this 8x8 shed within a matter of a few weeks, with the help from his friend Ron, my brothers Joe and Bill, Jamie's brother Andy and Jamie's Dad Bob.
It came out great and freed up a lot of room for us.
The shed under construction. Jamie, Ron, Bill and Joe all hard at work.
BTW I got in trouble for taking this picture because there was a thunderstorm brewing and they thought the flash of the camera was lightening. Whoops!

The final product. We haven't painted it yet, right now it is just primed.

Cape Cod July 2008

Sorry I haven't posted in a long time I was having some technical difficulties with Blogger. Looks like all is okay now. Well we have had a busy summer as usual.
We both worked off and on and also did a lot of projects around the house.
We were able to get away a few times the following pictures were from our Cape Trip we took in July around our anniversary.

Us at our anniversary dinner. We went to the Ocean House in Dennisport. It was really nice, right on the water and the food was delicious.

The view was beautiful even though there was a storm coming in.

We also were able to spend a day biking on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. We are not sure how many miles we rode, but we rode from Nickerson State Park in Brewster all the way to Wellfleet out to to beach.

The trail is great. It is really flat and smooth. Also the day we were there it was not very busy and it was a beautiful day.

As I mentioned before when we go down to the Cape we like to bring our cat Scooter. He is getting better at sitting in his carrier going back and forth. This last time he just laid down and went to sleep. When he gets down there he has a great time looking at all the birds and rabbits. He enjoys sitting in the front window the best. We call him S.S. Scooter when he is up there because he knocks the small ships over with his tail.

Scooter is use to being able to go out on our back screened in porch at home so as you can see he was wondering why he couldn't go out on the back porch at the Cape.

Dad's 65th Birthday BBQ

This weekend we celebrated my father's 65th birthday at our house. We had a BBQ on the porch and then opened presents inside due to the heat and rain.

Dad with his birthday bear that Aunt Linda gave him. We all got a kick out of it singing "Happy Birthday" over and over again.

Jamie and Aunt Linda hanging out. Jamie was playing the MASH theme and the DUKES OF HAZARD theme on his guitar per request of dad.

Bill and Mom hanging out watching Dad open his presents.

Joe, Terri and Bill were busy reading the SUNDAY GLOBE.

Mmmmmm.... Smell That Laundry!

Jamie put up a clothesline for me and I think I am in love with it!

Tower Hill Garden

Last weekend my Mother-in-law and Father-in-law (Bob & Meg H.) and I went to the Tower Hill Botanical Gardens in Boylston, Massachusetts. It was beautiful. There was so much to look at. It is a great place to go and walk around. Oh, and Jamie didn't go because he was busy at Bill's Annual Lawn Jarts Tournament.

Portsmouth, NH Day Trip

Today Jamie and I decided to take a day trip to Portsmouth, New Hampshire. We took our bikes with us so we could ride up and down all the back roads in Portsmouth. We had a great time riding all around the streets and parks. For lunch we stopped at a hotdog stand. We were starving and had our bikes with us, but they were pretty good hotdogs. Then we stopped at Prescott Park to watch a jazz band show. We were quite impressed by one of the jazz bands we saw. The members were all 75 years or older, it was kind of funny to see but they played really well.
On the way home we stopped at one of our new favorite places- Flag Hill Winery in Lee, New Hampshire. They have their vineyards right on site and they have wine tasting. We both like their blueberry wine and I like their strawberry wine. We always leave there feeling good with a 1/2 case of wine. I bet that is their trick.

Jamie leading the way (as always), notice how far back I am. I like to take my time.
